MRI results came back. Do you think I will need surgery?

So my MRI results came back today. This is after a CT and ultrasound couldnt really tell what it was. The results came back as the pedunculated fibroid, which I knew was there, and thats what they were pretty sure the whole thing was, but they said the 3.2 cm mass next to it is most likely an endometrioma or a hemorrhagic cyst, but more likely an endometrioma. So not sure what the doctor will tell me next week. Do you think I'll need surgery?

The MRI always seems best for gynae issues.

When I had my first fibroid the initial option was tablets to shrink it so it stopped my symptoms or surgery. Mine was removed but it was very big. 10 years later I had a cyst around that side but I had many more fibroids so had surgery.

We can only tell you our experiences so this does not necessarily mean you will have surgery. I know waiting to find out is very hard.

Hello

You might get more info on the Endometriosis and/or Womens Health groups on here? Good Luck x

It sounds like good news,

I wouldn’t presume to offer an opinion to your question, as I don’t have the medical expertise.

However, if you ring the Ovacome helpline (Mon-Fri office hours) on 0800 008 7054, I’m sure they would be able to help you.

All the very best.
