Welp. Didn't think I would find myself back on the ovacome forum for a while.
Brief recap - Mom got diagnosed with stage 3c HGSC OC back in December 2016. Reached NED Sept 2017 and reoccurred in April 2018 before passing in May 2019. She had genetic markers that came back negative for anything linking her to OVCA - so I never had them done since insurance wouldn't pay for them. However, each year I would get a CA125 test done at my early just for reassurance ( I know they aren't entirely accurate). This year I met with a new gynecologist who also recommended pelvic ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound as they are more reliable. Had these done on Friday and got the call this morning that there is a 5cm mass - no visible fluid around it - and my CA125 is over 800. Last year - it was 13. Have an emergent appointment with gyne-oncology on Wednesday. Feeling quite surreal at the moment.

Oh so sorry you're going through this. I'm very sorry about your mom also. It sounds like they are on top of things for you, fingers crossed it will be dealt with fast and well.
Oh Kristin I am so sorry you find yourself back here but hopefully you can again find support. I was diagnosed 18 months after I lost my mum to Bowel Cancer in March 2006 with mum having had stage 3OC approx 14 years previously. It was a huge shock but as you can see I am still here despite 2 recurrences, currently in my 15th year. Here offering support to you . Obviously it will take time for you to get your head round this latest news but hopefully after Wednesday you will have more information to understand the next step. Big hug Kathy xx
Hi. I’m sorry you’re facing this but glad you reached out. Hopefully they’ve caught it early because of your and your doctor’s surveillance. Sending hugs and positive thoughts.
Oh dear. How old are you baby? I have too too negative genetic markers. So they said mine was spontaneous one despite cancers in my both sides family's . If no fluid around your tumor may be its benign...Fingress cross and its looks like you cought it earlier xxx
I’m 29. I’ve had reproductive issues my entire life. Started at age 14 with a multiple ruptured cysts and a PCOS diagnosis. Asked for hysterectomy way to many times to count (because they don’t even work lol) and was always told no (I’m too young, what if I change my mind, it’s not medically supported, what about your husband, etc).
Oh my baby.... My midle girl is nearly 28 yr age.....Dont worry it may be benign or cyst again/ And you are young and strong to fight anything. No fluid is defo good sign xx
