Thank goodness they found it, though, Cazy. A blood clot in the lung can be a bit tricky! Have they put you on aspirin or blood thinners, or will that interfere with the chemo? How many more chemo sessions have you got ahead? You’ve done so well, to get through this. You’ll find the strength to carry on……this will be in the past one day, and you’ll marvel at how well you’ve coped with everything. You’ll get through it xx

Hi been put on blood thinners (tummy injections) I can do that no probs . I hopefully have one more chemo to go just waiting now for the results of scan. The doctor told me that it is common for these blood clots with chemo and not to worry !!!!! That’s why they always check the scan

Same thing happened to me. Pulmonary embolism picked up on CT scan. I had no symptoms. Very common if you have cancer and are on chemo. Immediately started on Daletparin injections and after a bit, switched to apixaban tablets. Just not sure how long I'll be on them.

I know it’s a difficult journey but try to think positive. You have done so well. They have found the clot and are doing something about it. You are cared for. I actually had a pulmonary embolism whilst having surgery for my spine (car accident long story) and was lucky. Am now on Apixaban for life because as other say it can be common if on chemo. I am having chemo, carboplatin and paclitaxel at the moment and the blood thinner hasn’t stopped me. You will be okay and get through it. You are in good hands. Sending a hug 🤗

Depressing, but thank God they caught it. Feel better. I’ve had my share of chemo too. Sucks when you’re IN it, but it hopefully works!🙏❤️
