Hello! My mother's ca125 and CEA six months ago were extremely low. About less than 1 for both. I didn't even know that they could be THAT low. Now, six months later they are increased. Ca125 is 2.49 and CEA is 1.76. I am terrified since they always been on a descending trend!she also had increasing white cells. She had an ultrasound and vaginal exam, all clear. But really, I'm scared. Diagnosed 3 years ago with seromucinous cyst adenocarcinoma.

What do you think about?

Personally I would not be worried, her markers are great,I would give anything for mine to be that low! Are they a good indicator of what’s going on for her? You could always ask for a ct scan to be sure.

When she was diagnosed ca125 was 17. It dropped to the single digits right after chemo. I'm so scared.

Hi, both are extremely low and can just be the way the results are read. Mine has been below for last 9 years and when the reading of my CA125 came back at 3 I panicked but was told it’s prob just the way it read, sure enough 12 weeks later it was back below 3.

Yes, yr mums readings are well below normal, normal being anything below 37 (some say 35).

I know it’s not easy and that any change can be worrying but your mum’s readings are very low. Can she ask or pay for a CT scan? Is your mum feeling well?

She had herpes labial one month ago and now she has buttlock and leg pain.

I believe those figures are so close to her usual figures that they are in keeping with normal variations They look for larger increases and/or successive increases over several tests If your Mum does not have any symptoms of concern I don't believe much can be read into those results on their own So difficult not to worry about results

my doc said ca125 will fluctuate. He said he will worry only when they double for 2 tests in a row. Your mom's fluctuation appears normal
