Hi Jackie, I was interested to read the your Ca125 is high but no sign of cancer. Has it always been high or altered with treatment . Mine has risen every time since stopping chemo had a scan at Christmas which was clear, however another rise at latest assessment has trigger another scan. Do other women have high Ca125 but no sign of cancer?

Love to all the lovely ladies waiting for results and having treatment x

Hi I am told it can happen but is unusual. My first reading at least 3 years ago was like that and since. I had the normal tests 3 years ago and all negative.

best wishes to you.

I am in same boat I am afraid. I too am very scared my CA125 has risen to 3500 after finishing first line 4 mths ago. More symtoms than the first time round lot of abdominal pain and bowel problems. Plus discharge. Have just started 2nd line of Caelyx. Had 1st one on 1st April next due next Wednesday. Not too bad but bowel problems and ab. pain continues plus head not in as good a place as first time which is understandable. Very disappointing to find out platinum resistant which is referred to if it comes back within 6months. All I can offer you is my empathy as I am there too. Just try your best, that is all any of us can do. I am seeking second opinion as my Consultant was not very positive. You can follow my posts to see how I get on with this treatment. Wishing you all the luck in the world with yours.

Hi. Just read your post and wanted to wish you luck with your new treatment. I am in the same boat as you and awaiting a scan to see if I have to start 2nd line soon. In the meantime I am on Letrozole and will have been taking it for 3months by the time I get my scan. I am also platinum resistant. Please let me know how you are. My thoughts are with you.

Not too bad with side effects. Just bordering on diarrohea in morning which makes a change from the constipation I usually have. But unfortunately quite deblitated for a couple of days with extreme fatigue after steriods have worn off. Back on the road tomorrow. Starting all over again.

Here I am eating my porridge in Christies. Not slept a wink with the chemo machine ticking and wheezing next to me. 2nd one down. Wasn't diaorreha at all but over flow due to constipation. How nicely put. Home later on this morning when hubbie comes for me. Hope everyone as well as can be expected and coping.

Love patx
