I hope this is ok to share. I was a little down yesterday; nothing in particular except thought of fate. I am normally very positive and happy with my family and friends. It was just one of those days. So I wrote this poem. I have an Insta handle for my poems but did not want to share there as I do not want anyone to feel bad or take it out of proportion. I thought you gals will understand this better and that we are brave most days and have our one off days where we think - what if!

yes, we have down times. Let's work towards having more up times though. This is a tough disease and we need to be strong mentally. We will get though this, together 👍🏻

thank you. It's only human to feel fluctuating emotions and esp when hit with a disease like OC. So happy you enjoyed reading it. I write happy poems too and will share one day 😃
Your poem is beautiful, it’s exactly how I feel. It did bring a tear or two, but good to know I’m not on my own with these feelings.
I always read the posts on this forum but don’t contribute very often. I am a positive person but sometimes find it hard when reading how people have made it to 10 years and their CA125 is so low. I am so happy for them but being only 3 years in to this myself and being treated for 3rd reoccurrence which includes a trial, I do occasionally get a down day and wonder if I will get 10 years.

I don't mean to sound unfeeling but I have heard and experienced that the universe sometimes tests the strongest among us. You are a warrior for having gone through so much. Please stay strong and positive. And we are here whenever you feel down and need support.

Can I go back to when...? This is always in the back of my mind too when I stop and think 🤔 why didn't I push or listen to my body! Very emotive poem and very very true of life! Can I now go forward to a life with a cure or even a chance of a better survival that's the next poem 💖thanks for sharing x we are not alone x
thanks, Newbery3. Yes I had written lots of positive poems to help me through chemo. (I have one funny video too although not sure we can share video format in this forum). I will post them every other week so that it does not spam!
It's totally OK with me and what a talent you have! I think many/most of us can relate to your words which you write so eloquently. I am going to remember this poem and often revisit it. We are all on a rollercoaster, or it certainly seems like it at times. But your poem also reflects that there can be better times even though the journey can be hard on us. Thank you, I had my last of 6 chemos yesterday. My second line in just a year. my CA 125 is still above 700 so am having a CT on Monday and then will follow up with the oncologist. Mid cycle CT showed static disease but i know that can change. I am feeling well so far and have coped well with all the cycles this time. xxxx
Beautifully written and really resonates with everyone who has been diagnosed with Cancer. The reality is that our lives have changed for ever but knowing we are not alone in how we feel brings so much comfort. I would love to read your other poems. Thank you for sharing this one. xx
Hello Ramya, I really loved your poem. We can all relate to those words. I have also found great solace in writing poetry & journaling during this challenging time & I encourage others to do the same, even if it's for your own eyes only. Meditate, write or just sit in a warm corner of the garden with your thoughts, so beneficial to your spirit. We all know that the mental side of healing is as important as the physical. We all need a good cry or laugh when it's needed to get us back on track. Poetry can do that for you. Keep up the good work & the good fight. Love & hugs xxx
thank you, AuntyOrange. You are so right to focus on holistic healing. I took up pranayama just before the debulking surgery and honestly felt my lung capacity increase so much in just a couple of weeks. I am very infrequent with meditation though; thanks for the reminder.
