I really did not expect to be posting this news, I’ve been told I am a candidate for surgery. I cried when I was told, I’d convinced myself I wasn’t suitable, I’m so used to receiving bad news. It sounds like a big operation involving bowels and stomach, however, the surgeon is optimistic so that’ll do for me. The morale of the story is don’t take no for an answer, get a second, third or fourth opinion if you feel the need. All I can say is The Christie and Saint Mary’s in Manchester have been wonderful, they’re doing their upmost best for me, I can’t ask for more xx
Thank you Cazzar for sharing great news. Always there are possibilities! Me too having clear cell recurrence surgery next week, to be honest I can't wait. I bet you can't wait too, exciting isn't it. And your story shows that different oncologists have different ideas and skills. So pleased for you. Please keep us updated. 💕💕💕
Best wishes for the surgery Cazzar. I too am clear cell with a possible reoccurrence & mention of surgery. Let us know how you get on, hoping the bowels can be avoided. Wishing you a good recovery.
I am from the US & have Clear Cell as well. My oncologist did do surgery after a recurrence that appeared to be self contained on CT & PET scans, but alas it turned into exploratory surgery & nothing was removed but more biopsies.
