I just wanted to update you all with my latest development: I saw my oncologist today, she said there is nothing more they can offer me so she has referred me to Professor Jayson at The Christie to see if there is a clinical trial open to me. I'm devastated to say the least, I wasn't expecting much in the way of good news but I was clinging on now I feel like all hope is slowly being taken away from me.......
Sorry to read your update and I’ll message you directly but please don’t give up hope…I was in a similar position to you a few months ago and I felt desperate, and it was only down to Professor Jayson that I ended up on the right treatment path, and I’m now recovering. You are now honestly in the best hands and he will be able to offer you the right treatment for you.
There will be tons of options still available so stay positive and know he’ll be doing the very best for you,
Just to let you know that I’m thinking of you and please don’t give up hope… I’m sure there must be other options and that Professor Jayson will find a suitable trial for you, he has an excellent reputation, best of luck xx
Hi cazzar . Try and keep positive. This could be a good move for you . You will be in good hands at the Christie’s. They are used to dealing with difficult cancers and are up to date on all the treatments and new ones coming. Unfortunately a lot of the smaller hospitals deal with standard treatment. If there is such a thing.. good luck
Sorry to hear of this consultation. But I truly believe you will have options once you see the Specialist with an interest in clear cell. I believe you have only had one line of chemo post diagnosis? And I read posts of ladies having other chemos radiotherapy immunotherapy and trial drugs and even second surgeries I can't help thinking surely one of these options would be possible Maybe they will be able to review your scans or even do more detailed PET scans for more info I hope your appt is soon just so you don't have to sit worrying and wondering Thinking of you xx
