Hello ladies, I am currently experiencing a lot of pain on the right side of my torso, front and back. I have tumours ontop and inside of my liver but they are shrinking with weekly chemotherapy. Docs think pain could be pressure on a nerve or gall stones. Apparently gall stones can be caused by chemotherapy drugs, oncologist said its quite common.
Has anyone had experience of this type of pain, any tips?
Thanks x

Thank you for posting about your experience here. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing severe pain at the moment and it's good to hear that you have already mentioned this to your oncologist.
We would advise that if the pain suddenly worsens, or becomes unbearable, to contact either your chemotherapy hotline number, NHS 111 or attend A&E to seek further medical advice.

Hi,Sorry to hear that. I know pain is scary and brings you down. I had bad back pain a while ago which turned out to be an abscess on the liver but I imagine you've had a recent scan so probably not that.
Hopefully as the chemo continues to work it's magic, the pain issue will resolve.
Hi Kaitlin's Mum, sorry to hear you having bad pain. l had bad pain, turned out to be gallstones (didn't know link with chemo). But it was high up around the bust area of chest & back, pain so sharp takes your breath away. l had tube down throat to area to see them, but waited so long for the test they had gone! Advised to keep off fatty foods. Hope that helps, & good luck getting a real diagnosis. Sending best wishes.
