One year down the line….

I want to thank you lovely ladies and all at Ovacome for the support you have given.

My Daughter aged 31 was told a year ago that she had a very rare form of ovarian cancer, not detected in CA-125

After major surgery removing a very large ovarian cyst - 18 pounds, and losing an ovary and Fallopian tube we are on the mend! I come on here daily just to keep up to date and keep informed of peoples news and views. It has been a life changer for me

I was lucky (not sure if that’s the right word!) to win a Bunjee jump on the ovacome raffle, my other half will be doing the jump and all money raised will go directly back to this wonderful charity.

If you can help, please do support.

Thank you all and stay safe and well

hello Sheila, thank you so much! When I won the bunjee jump I knew I couldn’t do it but wanted it to make a difference so Dave stepped in! - not quite bunjee jumped in but stepped in! If he buckles then I will shut my eyes and go! So sorry the sun isn’t shining in Tenerife but I am sure you are having an amazing time! Christie’s is fantastic! My Daughter is under Rebecca Faulkner from Manchester St Marys, she has been incredible and we are so glad to have her. We are Londoners but my Daughter decided to make a new life in Manchester a couple of years ago, so far it’s been a bit bumpy with everything but we are getting there.

Hope you find the best frock! Have a lovely holiday and looking forward to hearing about your next one! Mel xxx

Hi Mel, Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. I too had an 18lb tumour removed 26 years ago when I was 41 and have been fine since. Hope the bungee jump is fun and best wishes to your daughter.
