PEACOCC trial is definitely closed

Hi everyone.

I enquired recently about the peacocc trial. This is definitely closed.

My oncologist confirmed this and also the trial team at Christie’s. I have been referred to the Christie’s in Manchester for the Atari trial.

I saw the oncologist and have signed up for this. It will be in the new year. They have to decided which cohort to put me in once my tumour has been analysis. Then a scan as my tumour was small in my September scan. So fingers crossed I’m accepted.

Good luck! I have been on the drug AZD 6738- the dame drug as on Atari trial - for nearly 4 years so far and have had a maintained partial response.

Hi neona . You was one of the people that suggest this trial to me a couple of months ago, so thank you. I will know more in January about the parp side of the trial 🤞🏻.

It’s good that after all this time you are still having a good response to the drugs .

I just googled what the meaning of Atari is. It's a Japanese term used in a game called Go (somewhere between Othello and Chess - I've played it, it's a lot of fun!). 'Ataru' means 'about to win', while 'Atari" means 'to hit the target' or to win. In either case, it is associated with good fortune, so I hope that is a good omen for you and your treatment. Good luck! x
