Hello I was originally diagnosed with primary peritoneal high grade eptherial ovarian cancer June of 2020. I went about 10 months then just found out my cancer has returned. I'm waiting on a needle biopsy and to see my doctor to see what plan of action he has. I'm so upset that it's back . I was hoping for at least a 2 year break. I started having pain in my right side and a fever so I went to er and had a ct scan. I was hoping for a kidney stone but no my cancer is back. All my lab work is perfect despite it being on my liver. My ca125 was slightly elevated however still in normal range.

Yes it can come back at n alarming rate measure mine returned within 18mths had the cyst like tumour removed no biopsy due to the nature of the beast, in the last two rounds of chemo now with a few stops due to side effects, it feels odd when they initially say cancer free ie first op...only to find it's back .... for me I turned around looked at that first journey smiled wondered how i actually made it, and vowed this time I know the beast and I will dictate terms not it ... you have already done this journey and can do it again if need be this time your info in it is more ... do not despair your a teal warrior and are surrounded by teal warriors who wish you well.

Hi. I know it really stinks when you get that first recurrence. Mine was after 8/9 months. The somewhat good news for me was the four week cycles of doxil and carbo which gave me three good weeks a month and then going on Olaparib afterwards. Although I struggle with side effects it has kept the cancer away for 19 months so far. It would be much nicer not to have cancer but you’ll get through this and hopefully to another longer period of ned. Xx

I'm really sorry to hear you've had a recurrence. I can only imagine how gutted you must feel.There are so many ladies here doing really well after a recurrence though and I hope that gives you strength and inspiration.
