Thanks to all you lovely ladies for responding. Insurancewith was suggested several times but they are not accepting new policies. ALLCLEAR turned out to be the most competitive so if anyone is looking take a look at them. Thanks again x

I’ve used insurancewith more than once and have promoted them here on a number of occasions, I have recently come up with the same response from them despite being a past repeat customer. We have spoken with them, they are an underwriter based in Germany and are twitchy due to both Covid and Brexit but say their situation may change and to keep an eye on the situation.

We have looked at ALLCLEAR too, they have differing levels of cover so need a wee bit of scrutiny but seem to be really quite competitive, they are a price comparison type of group, be mindful to check there’s cancellation and/or Covid cover as it’s not automatically included in the quote and can cost £100.00 extra. It’s also worth looking at annual travel insurance as that can actually be cheaper than a single trip policy. It’s such a minefield isn’t it? Many thanks for the info. Just quoted for single trip to Italy £506.00 Staying home instead, more attractive, !!!!

I was quoted about the same for my single trip on a cruise.On cruise now and was really worth it if you can afford it. It is a scandalous amount, but the memories I've made with my husband after a horrendous year have been worth it.

There is more chance of someone having a heart attack etc as someone with cancer using their policy. In fact we had someone airlifted of ship, had a heart attack.
