New treatment after PROMT Trial

Hi everyone. After the trial was unsuccessful, I have had a few weeks of normality with no chemo. My oncologist has agreed an Oral chemo which is preferable to me as I have lots to do and am not keen on more IV treatment as my veins are not good. Anyone on here had any experience with oral Cyclophosphamide please?

Hi Gilly. I can’t advise but I know I have seen people on here who have been on that drug. I hope it works for you! Xx

I was at the Dr's yesterday, my appointments Re two weeks apart, I am still doing maintenance chemo and on the off week Lynparza. Since it is close to a two hour drive to my apt. I live in Maryland and my Dr is in Philadelphia, my choice , since she had treated my husband for 14 years for non hogkins lymphoma . I slept all the way home and until 4 am so feel pretty good this morning . My son is bring my grandchildren here for 3 days , so something to look forward to .My blood counts were good , I try and eat ironand rich and high fiber foods , but red meat doesn't sit too well . I make protein shakes etc. All in all , think I am doing ok .

I did ask her if there any new treatments in the works , she said that things that work in a petri dish don't work in the body and everyone's body chemistry is different . But scientists keep plugging away .

Advised to get a third booster covid shot as soon as possible..

Hi there Gilly

Thank you for your post. I’m sorry you’ve not had any responses relating to cyclophosphamide yet, hopefully some members of our forum community will be able to share their experiences soon.

In the meantime, searching through the MyOvacome forum may provide you with some more information. You can do this by entering ‘cyclophosphamide’ into the MyOvacome search bar on the right hand side of the page. Here’s a link to our search results which I hope may be helpful for you: healthunlocked.com/ovacome/...
