I had a consultation with my oncologist yesterday, following a scan, and it seems that against all my expectations, the Rubraca is working. I was convinced that the monster was back, but no, the disease is stable.
I have been so anxious for the last few weeks, so now I am going to try and enjoy the rest of summer and try to put this constant worry on a back burner.I

Oh so pleased for you. Well done. This is wonderful news. The worrying is awful. I have the same worry about the parp I am on. I so, so hope I have such a good result. Best wishes x
Hooray!! It's lovely to hear such good news! It's so tricky to quiet that anxious voice when we are waiting for results. Wishing you a wonderful summer/autumn/winter etc xx
Bless you Jenny so glad your treatments working , think we all live on eggshells. But your doing great by the sounds of it and long may itContinue. Enjoy the summer and life. Sending love & hugs SheilaFxxx
That's great news, it's really easy to imagine the worse case scenario in this situation but that's not the case. Enjoy the rest of the summer and long may it work! Sue xx
Good news Jenny. Always welcomed. I am on my fifth cycle of weeklyTaxol. My latest CT scan also suggests stable disease. I’m pleased but still harbour those niggling worries and doubts. The side effects of treatment continuously over the four and a half years since diagnosis are taking their toll. I worry if there is recurrence what I have left to be offered. On the plus side I’m still here! Trying to expand my horizons with the Covid threat hopefully diminishing. Going camping next weekend and the weather looks hopeful. It will be my no chemo week so fingers crossed that my energy levels can keep up with the plans my family have in mind!
Good luck everyone. Let’s hope the remaining summer will offer us some warmth and comfort.
As you say, once we realise that we will be spending the rest of our lives on some treatment or other, until there is nothing left to give us, the effort to keep going becomes enormous.
