Hi,

Just back from rm in sutton and was very surprised to be told I was stable, no increase or changes to anything from my last scan. Ca125 was 200 at my last blood test but they didn't have the results for this mornings. I had been so worried as last scan they told me I had a large blood clot on my lung which was ominous and that I couldn't have surgery. Got to go back in 6 weeks to check again but he said if all was the same I would go to 3 month checks so no chemo for next 6 weeks at least, they wanted to know if I wanted my picc line out but is that tempting fate? Husband is going to book a little holiday maybe in Norfolk for a week.

Thank you. Yes I think you are right it will probably be freezing but hubby loves Norfolk, we met there 39 years ago at the raf base, he is desperate for a holiday but we don't want to chance going abroad yet.

Thats great news, such a relief when you're expecting something different. Enjoy your break away. Xx

Thank you. Not as good as your ski break, but at least it's a change of scenery and no hospital, we are trying to get a cottage with a sea view so I can have something to watch while hubby goes out walking for hours.

I think you may have me mixed up with Alifit- nothing as exciting as skiing for us as we are dedicated caravaners. We love to explore the beauties of the UK and have our "home from home". I think the main thing is to enjoy getting away regardless of the destination. Xx

Sorry alikay, didn't have my glasses on, we used to go camping all the time but we had a tent, I always wanted a caravan, much better.

Thanks kryssy, I must admit I am a bit apprehensive as that will be 10 weeks without any chemo or anything,, I think I would be happier having some sort of maintenance like you have avastin or something. Is that strange of me? I'm happy about it but scared at the same time.

I'm sure you are going to be ok, avastin or not, but I know exactly how you feel about not having some sort of treatment. When I missed a couple of chemos I was really upset and now I've picked up a cold from someone and am dreading missing Thursday's avastin. What are we like? Get some of that sea air in you and you'll be grand. xxxx

Sorry you've picked up a cold, hope all goes well tomorrow and you get the avastin

Everybody seems so encouraging, but I would not be satisfied if I were you.

I would also feel apprehension and personally, I would seek a second opinion.

Check with the ovacome help line and posts about second opinions to find a suitable alternative. You will have to be brace to make an appointment with your own doctor to make sure your records are accessible, I think, but check with others to be sure.

I have not had reason to seek a second opinion and my treatment so far has been amazing, but yours should be, too.

Best of luck,

Laura

Thanks zena

We are still looking at the moment, thought we had found one overlooking sea but it wasn't available so back to looking. Hopefully we can get something for week after next.
