I’ve not heard anyone say they suffered from this, but a quick search on the internet reveals there can be a number of different causes. Best to check with your medical team.
High ferritin levels are not directly associated with chemo.
There are several conditions that cause hyperferritenemia. Excluding supplementation with iron or having the genetic HFE Hemochromatosis (possibly not in your case or you'd have known about it), type 2 diabetes, for example, and/or high levels of circulating T3 (the active thyroid hormones) can be responsible.
