During your OC journey, has anyone experienced very cold feet that can't seem to warm up and feeling cold but without a fever, and overall fatigue on and off? I am asking because my mom has felt this lately and she is otherwise not feeling sick or does not have a cough or cold. Wondering if this is common and has been part of anyone's symptoms?
thank you.

I am on no 5 of my 6 chemo cycle and have the exact same symptoms. I wear socks in bed and put hot water bottle on my feet but can hardly feel them. on Saturday the heating was on all day as usual it was 75 in living room and i was so cold even with a blanket. Sorry havent given any solution but just wanted to say am experiencing same problems.
Yes, similar problems, only on Letrozole at the moment,
My Hubby has just ordered me some leg warmers to help, my legs and ankles feel like ice inside, can’t really explain it, it’s a strange feeling, I thought it must
be part of the neuropathy / nerve damage but I don’t actually know.
One other thing, my son bought me last Christmas was a heated throw (I think Dreamland make / sell them) its a god send as I can get snuggled up on the sofa and keep warm and I don’t cook the husband with the heating on full blast, why are men always warmer than us girls ??
Sorry I don’t have any answer for you other than I also suffer from this 😩
My feet and hands are almost permanently cold following peripheral neuropathy. Could be anaemia or thyroid problems, best to check with her GP. just in case. Heated blankets and throws are helpful .
Hello... yes this sounds familiar! I suspect that the treatment for OC and the fact that our immune systems take a battering lead to occasional inability to control body temperature effectively... I sometimes get this when an illness is brewing too. I don’t think it is sinister but encourage your Mum to use a hot water bottle or whatever helps get her feeling warm all over again. xx
I hope it's not anything other than feeling run down. She almost thought she was coming on with the flu, even felt achy along with very cold. She took 2 tylenol's before bed last night and today feels fine. We still can't figure it out. Also, no food poisoning, no nausea, no other symptoms. Thanks for your comment!
There are conditions that cause cold hands and feet like Raynaud's disease that have nothing to do with cancer. Neuropathy is more of a numbing or pain, but it is usually caused by certain drugs and not the cancer itself. I'm not familiar with any type of cancer side effects relating to cold feet, but if you're concerned, it's definitely worth running by your doctor.
I remember she had the neuropathy after chemo but that was a while back. She seems to be feeling better today. Overall it's hard to tell what it could be, just lots of difficult regulating her body temp. She will speak to her doctor too. Thank you.
Two weeks ago for two days, I was freezing. My temperature dropped to 97.3. I did not have flulike symptoms. Feet were cold. I drank hot liquids and put on socks and a heated throw on my bed. After a couple of days, I was back to normal. I have chemo 6 tomorrow. Hope your mom warms up.
I would check bloods and also thyroid levels. My thyroid function was affected by chemo to the point of needing levothyroxine to get it in the normal range. Fatigue and always feeling cold were among the symptoms. Hope you find a solution! Deb in Colorado
Hi, I have permanently chilly feet and fingers, it’s down to my peripheral neuropathy brought on by the treatments, it’s just another one of the many delights this disease sometimes brings to us. Check with her oncologist/medical team, often once we know what’s causing a symptom and it’s been given a ‘name’ we know what we’re dealing with, how best to proceed and the fear of the unknown is taken away. Stay safe ❤️Xx Jane
An update. Saw onclogist today and she thinks its the Taxol causing the problem especially the neuropathy. Will be ha ving sixth and last chemo next week now minus the Taxol.
