What causes fluid ovarian cysts

Gynacologist found a Water filled ovarian cyst on my left ovary during a routine pap smear.She said not cancerous but has put me on medication to bring on my periods as they are all over,she's running some blood tests for ca125 plus hormones.Im getting extremely worried and stressed about all of this as I've had lower back pain to on a different side to where the cyst is...on and off for a year.

Hi. I take it you are premenopausal in which case cysts are fairly common and ovarian cancer is uncommon. Nonetheless I would stay on top of this and follow up.

Hi yes I am.Ive been having irregular periods on and off for about six months.

I had the same and my Dr told me the cyst was benign. CA125 was normal, I went to planned surgery ( not with an oncologist) to remove that cyst. The biopsy of it came back cancer positive. I wish you a good outcome, but please have a second opinion and listen to yourself, your body tells you when something is wrong. God bless

I am good, thanks. I got diagnosed when I just turned 40 by the way. I hate hearing this type of cancer became younger. But hopefully you are not in our “team “and yours is benign, it’s still kind of rare diagnosis to have 🙏🏻

Noooo, don’t overthink that, as it can make you crazy. Remember : one thing at a time. They are testing you and you are monitoring all the test yourself, I hope you are going to be fine. Just please have a second opinion

Well I had my blood tests and I'm now waiting for my results I'm preparing for the worse as they have been done on a withdrawal period following medication and I've read that this makes it high.Im panicking and can't sleep.
