Ok, here we go!!!! I'll be doing 25 days of Proton radiation (5 days a weex, 5 weeks) to shrink lumpy and take care of any critters still lurking in the node and nodes in that string. I had a consultation, simulation, and dry run in prep for radiation. A mold was made of my leg position so the beam can hit the right area. (Inguinal mode). The beam is then computerized so I only have to drop my pants, climb on table, beam! Get off table. Put on pants. Go home. At hospital 20 minutes top.
Well, yesterday had a mind of its own...Day one of radiation treatments just proved 2020 can muck up anything. I was almost done with a 7 minute treatment, laying on a hard table, when computers went down. I was told to not move until the issue was fixed. 45 minutes later I had to be pried off that table. My muscles had frozen. My back hurt. I had a death grip on the plastic ring they have me holding onto to keep my arms still. My legs were in the mold and I could only wiggle my toes.
So hoping today goes better. It should. Oh, and since I am also supervising virtual schooling for my grandsons, it was a relief to get home and they were glued to their computers. Good boys!
Hugs to all. I think you guys are keeping me sane!
