I’m always in pain. My pain medicine only does a little bit and I went to hospital last night and I got a scrip for cramping. The cancer in my omentum abdomen pain is bad especially when I eat. Any suggestions?

Low residue diet - even less fibre than low fibre diet - lots of fluids , rest your gut when it’s bad by having a day off eating and having thin soup and milky drinks if you can tolerate dairy - your doctors should prescribe nutritional drinks that you can have on bad days in lieu of meals - buscopan can help with the spasms and I have oramorph for when it’s really bad - worth keeping a track of what you’ve eaten that might trigger worse pain etc x
hi, I can empathise with that kind of pain although I’m not too bad in the morning before I eat. It sort of builds up during the day. By the time I have my evening meal I hurt. More of a stuffed up pain. I’ve tried eating small meals throughout the day, snacks really and cutting down on my last meal around 8pm. To be honest I could do without lots of the things I eat. I don’t know about you. I think boredom has a lot to do with it. Might be a good idea to try the low residue diet Suggested by Coldethyl although I doubt I can stick to it. Perhaps you could. Your pain sounds more severe than mine and I’m really sorry.
Love and all the best

Try a fentanyl patch. It worked wonders for me, especially in the middle of the night. Pain is unacceptable for quality of life! As my chemo treatment took effect and my tumor shrank, I was able to reduce the strength of the patch and eventually get off them. One year later I am doing great and with a consistent CA125 of 8 or 9. As an aside, the doctor did not offer me the patch. I read about them for pain management and asked for them. Often I needed to advocate for myself.
