Not really sure to the point of my post but my mum has her MRI today - first check up in 6 months after being diagnosed with 1C1 cancer in feb this year. Her ca125 has come back as 9. She had no chemo and is really worried about it being ‘everywhere else’ so I’m feeling anxious for her!! Please keep everything crossed for my mum 🤞🙂
A CA125 of 9 is soooooooo good. Well within normal range. Feeling anxious is a given when expecting a checkup, even I 13 years down the line can get anxious. Given your mum's CA125 is well within normal range I would expect the MRI to show nothing to be honest. Best wishes to you both. Kathy xx
Hi Carly. Obviously Im no dr and can only speak from experience but Ive always been told anything below 37 is within normal range. I would be so shocked if yr mums MRI didnt come back clear and it would go against everything Ive been told over the last 13 years. Mine came back clear at 7. Id defintely be feeling optimistic. Please let us know how yr mum gets on. Kathy xx
your welcome x Waiting for results is never easy..... try telling yr mum that worrying wont change a thing, just makes you miserable etc. Ruins the here and now, time you could be enjoying life xx Best wishes xx Kathy xx
Just wanted to point out the actual number of your CA125 is particular to you and you can't compare it to other peoples. Whether it rises is what counts, also it can rise if you have an infection. I recently had pneumonia and mine went up a lot. Once you've been diagnosed with the dreaded disease it's difficult not to worry when you go for tests. Just try not to worrry (easier said than done) and think of the here and now, all the very best. Sue xxx
