Good morning from rainy north wales....just a little update on mum’s first check up on thursday! We had a good 50 mins with her doctor she’s simply amazing and very positive! mum’s doing well, ca125 still 5... and back to her normal weight!.... We spoke about everything mum’s cancer was a 3c, this has really scared me... but we were reassured that if it does come back there are treatments waiting for her but praying this wont be the case now she has a head full of hair!... Thank you ladies for listening xxxxxxxxxx
mum’s check up 💗: Good morning from rainy north... - My Ovacome
mum’s check up 💗
That's fantastic news! Long may the remission continue for her. But remember if the beast does come back, chemotherapy doesn't always mean you loose your hair, I am on Caelyx/Carbo for first recurrence, after 5 infusions my hair has only thinned slightly on top of my head, still got eyebrows, eyelashes and body hair. Good Luck xx
Me too! My hair is still in reasonable state after treatment for reoccurrence albeit a bit thin. Eyebrows and lashes intact. Good luck 😉 x
thank you so much xx
Its a rainy north Essex here too ! so glad your mum is doing so well ! Lesley xx
Yay! Fantastic news! 💕 xx Gina
Hi Claire so happy to hear your mum is doing so well! Let's hope this beast stays away for both our mums! My mums was 3B too, its scary but everyone reacts in different ways and I know we will both stay positive for our mums. Sending you both big hugs, vickie xx
Best news ever who cares about the rain
That’s such great news x
Great news! Yr mums dr is right, there are other treatments out there IF it comes back (im proof of that!) but for here and now, take the news for what it is, GREAT! and enjoy a fantastic Christmas ! hugs to you both! xx
You are a total blaze of inspiration!
Good luck to you both and such great news. I loved the North Wales bit as it’s so stunning there xx
So great to hear--and to hear right before the holidays makes them even better. Hope you both (all) enjoy the good news and long may it continue. oxox
It’s drizzling here in lancashire so looks like we’re all damp 🥴.
Wonderful news for your mum, long may she stay in remission and enjoy good health for many years to come. It is reassuring there is a contingency plan in place should she need it. Fabulous that you have a Doctor who is both willing and able to give you that time to sit and give you a much needed update.
I hope you are both ready to celebrate 🎉 this. Hugs to you both ❤️Xx Jane
So pleased to hear ,great news. X
Thanks for sharing your good news! Long may it continue!xo
Tell her not to stress if it happens then you deal. I was diagnosed in April 2014, I have stage 3c clear cell , April I will be cancer free God willing 6 yrs. I have full work ups in Jan, but not worried. She can do this. Best wishes for a lifetime of success ..Liz
