all went well today, am back home with tea and cake. I was concerned about having an allergic reaction to Carbo as this will be my 3rd time, I appear to have escaped any adverse reactions, not to be for the lady in the next chemo unit who had a serious allergic reaction after 20 mins, or the gentleman in my unit who left appearing very well, but once outside the hospital collapsed unable to breath. This disease really is scary but I think the treatment is ever scarier!! Stay safe x

So pleased you've been able to have chemo today. Fingers crossed that you have minimal side effects. Will be thinking of you.
Hi Lyn glad it went well.
I too am on third line treatment and due to a reaction on second line treatment, my carbo is given at a slower rate and l have had no further issues. So don't worry there are ways around this if you were to have a reaction.
Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

A friend who used to be a nurse a million years ago, advised me to take anti histamines for a few days leading up to chemo, so I have done that this time.......fingers crossed x
Well done Lynn, hope you enjoyed your tea and cake. Have a good weekend fingers crossed for you regarding side effects.xx
Good news that you made it through and are having your reward! I hope the carbo continues to be okay. Let us know how the side effects go. Xoxo
I had reaction to carbo/pacx. They stopped the pacx after round 3. All was good after that. Hope all goes well for you.
So glad you made it through Lyn and were able to eat when you get home as well. A good start to your treatment. Not so good for your neighbor or that poor gentleman!
Fingers crossed the rest go as smoothly. oxoxox
Glad it went relatively well for you. I hope it continues effortlessly and safely ! Xx
Thankyou - think I might be talking to the COC soon as well x
