Drain out 3 hrs ago

Dear Lovely Ladies,

It is out finally. That drain has given me so much pain and problems. They are talking about putting it back in, but I think I prefer to come into hospital and have it drained, if and when necessary.

Not a nice procedure - thank goodness I had the nurse's hand to squeeze.

At the moment I am feeling not too bad despite the doc saying I could feel lousy for the next 24 hrs - we will see what it is like tonight!

Hope to be out soon - otherwise the food could finish me off!

Thank you all of you for being there for me. Love you. Anne XXX

It’s good to hear from you. Sounds like you’ve been through the wringer but hopefully they’ll let you keep the drain out and go home tomorrow. 🙃🌷🌻

Have they decided that it was the drain that had become infected, is that why they took it out?

Hope you get home soon.

Yes the drain was completely full of puss and they will meet with the Oncology Team to decide if it should go back in. So more days in hospital and more days of the food. Take care my dear. Xxx

Hi Anne. I’m so pleased for you. Getting rid of that horrid drain must be such a relief. Enjoy being in the comfort of your own home. Even a homemade sandwich is a luxury after being in hospital!!

Dear Anne,

What a torment!

I hope they can get your drainage problems sorted out so that you don’t need a permanent drain!

And hospital food! It’s awful here in Bath, but before Covid, I could have a family member bring me edibles! Even take-Away, but not now.

Here’s hoping you get sorted out and get home soon.

Hugs,

Laura

Dear Justbo,

I am out of hospital. It had an horrific end and I think I wrote about it - will check now and see if I dreamt about it as it has left me still shaking and talking to my daughter this afternoon I was in tears.
