After debulking December 2019, I was diagnosed with stage 1a mucinous OC, Consultant said all I would need would be physical examination in 6 months. he said I don't need blood test or scans. I am concerned that it won't be enough to know all cancer gone and no recurrence. Has anyone else had so little for follow up please?

Hi. My mum was diagnosed in Feb 2020 with stage 1C1 cancer & didn’t require any further treatment. She is having bloods and a scan at 6 months, not sure if hers is becuase although low grade her Cyst burst during surgery so want to keep an eye on her?

1a is a great diagnosis’s though, perhaps keep an eye on how you feel and contact them if you have concerns?x

Hi

This is standard for 1a mucinous. I was 1c1 mucinous so researched thoroughly.

It is great that it has been diagnosed at this stage. Great prognosis.

Best wishes

Fay

Hi I was diagnosed 1a endometriod oc in July 2018 and have only had 3 monthly ca125 tests since then and a physical examination on the day I get the results.

Ca125 has stayed around 12, but I had blood taken this morning so am crossing everything that it's still around 12. The appointment when I would get the results and have the physical exam has been cancelled, so the result will be phoned to me this time.

They said if I remain clear for 2 years they will change my 3 monthly checks to 6 monthly checks.
