The Heart Attack Symptoms and Covid-19

Hi everyone. I'm getting better each day but wanted to let you know that coronavirus is a very tricky bug. I started feeling headaches and fatigue since early February when were no lock dows, much information... After a few weeks, I was so tired that I hardly could get up from the bed, I felt a small lump on the back on my neck just where the lymph nodes are. My first thought was "it is cancer". So I went to the private testing clinic and did all possible blood test including all cancer markers. Everything was fine - just excellent. However, after two or 3 days I started having a double vision and red eyes, hardly could look at my PC screen. And then later, my blood pressure started to increase (all my life I have a low blood pressure) and when it increased to 140-100 I was feeling like I was losing myself and everything started to fade away like I am going to pass... very strange feeling, that night I wake up gasping for the air... The next morning I felt something alike to a heart attack, my hand and legs were tingling and my chest was painful, but the feeling was more like pressure. I called my family doctor and the strangest thing was - he told me to drink something from the flu for example ACC, Theraflu... I kept telling him that I might have had a heart attack and he said drink antiflu medicine and wait 2 weeks (why 2 weeks?). The next morning I went to the private blood testing clinic again and did all possible tests to check out what's wrong with my heart. And you know what? Everything was just excellent...... I felt chest pain and pressure and sometimes pressure on my back where the lungs are almost 7 days long, now I steel feel it sometimes if I'm breathing in cold air. But I'm so much better now and my blood pressure is excellent again.. don't want to make this post very long so, in conclusion, check out these symptoms:

1) No temperature. I even got a few days where my temperature was even lower when it should be...

2) headaches

3) extreme fatigue, I was dragging myself 2 months

4) higher blood pressure

5) swollen lymph node(s)

6) chest pain or chest pressure

7) I didn't feel breathless during the day but there were nights while sleeping I woke up gasping for the air, especially later (after the heart like attack day), we found out that one night my blood pressure 90-42 .

8) pink or red eyes, sensitivity, problems with vision.

9) everything ok with taste and smell expect the feeling that something expands your nose from the inside (I know it sounds strange)

10) very very mild coughing maybe 2 - 10 coughs in the morning like from a simple spring allergy.

Please note I wasn't tested for the COVID-19 virus, they didn't let me. But I am 99% sure that it was Coronavirus. Because now I am so much better: no chest pain, no blood pressure, no headaches (FINALLY!!!), no problems with eyes, and energy is coming back!!! My doctor now asked me to wait one more week (again why?) and I will be admitted physically in the clinic to check my lymph node which didn't shrink yet.

Sorry for all the English mistakes.

Best wishes from Europe to everyone - take care.

Thank you for your very interesting saga.

I still do not understand why you were not tested!

That’s simply crazy. This is not a guessing game. We need facts.

I was lucky and was tested, (tested positive for Covid-19)

I think because I had cancer, but no one else in my family was allowed to be tested, although my husband was very symptomatic and my adult daughter shares everything with us, but remained unsymptmatic.

Anyway, I seemed to have had a very slight case of pneumonia, spent two nights in hospital, had only a very slight fever, but did have some gastro-intestinal problems later, diarrhoea and nausea, but all that has been resolved.

I am now left only with a feeling of weakness, so I am trying to build myself up with raking the garden and short walks.

Hope you are better also.

Keep well,

Laura

Laura - you only get tested if admitted to hospital in the UK - initially, they did a bit of testing in the community if people were unwell, but they soon stopped that, some weeks back.. that's why they didn't test other, symptomatic members of your family. Now, some of the NHS workers have drive through centres to be tested, but only very recently, and nowhere near enough, many are isolating at home, unwell, not knowing if its Covid or not.

The whole of Europe really is not testing enough, although Germany is doing better than most on that front, and America has now upped its game enormously. Unlike the rest of the world, apart from South Korea and China, where they test, test, test, as we should all be doing.

Take it easy till you feel stronger...

Oh dear, sounds nasty.... your doctor has told you to wait another week in case it was Covid19, just to make sure you are no longer infectious to other people. Be interested to hear what they conclude was actually wrong with you...

Glad you're on the mend, take care.

My husband was tested when admitted to hospital 3 weeks ago with a heart attack, because he had a raised temperature. They said they didn’t believe he had the coronavirus (he didn’t) but had to test him because of his raised temperature, & put him in isolation till they got the results, which took 5 days! Di
