COVID-19 - High-Risk Group self referral link

gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel...

If you have not received a text saying you are in the high risk group but you know you are; maybe because you are on PARPs. Use this link to self refer.

It should help you access better support should you need it.

Thanks Lisa, obviously I am on Olaparib and still not heard from my GP - to be honest I doubt they are even aware I am on Olaparib given I have to remind them I am a cancer patient so having this to register on is VERY helpful - thanks again. Kathy xx Stay safe xx

I think anyone on private treatment is being forgotten about too. This link is very useful for anyone living alone as it allows you to notify them should you need extra support. X

My husband is self isolating with me to avoid putting me at risk so we just aren't going out, luckily my daughter is nearby and getting shopping. I might be in prison for murder or divorced after 12 weeks tho lol ...........

I think there will be a few of us, same here, husband and 14 year old self isolating with me.. Quality time!!! 🤣

Many thanks for this, Lisa. Like Kathy, Suzanne has still heard nothing from our GP despite being on the PARP olaparib for over 2 years. But then one of the GPs in our practice had never heard of a PARP inhibitor at a recent appointment, so it's not surprising!

Hope you're doing OK yourself x

Thank you, I am. Haha, I’ve not heard anything, pretty much expected! So many GP’s in and out so no continuity. 🤣

I’ve been told it’s anyone under 3 months that’s had chemo included in group so I am I’m at my mums who luckily has a big garden so I can sit out from time to time or sit near open conservatory doors

I registered on there 10 days ago and still nothing. Current chemo patient so I know I’m supposed to be on the list. The .gov website now says if you haven’t had your letter by Sunday 29th March speak to your GP. I did and they said they don’t send the letters so its not down to them.Same with the hospital they are unclear as to who sends the letter. I registered again today. Has anyone had an email response or text to at least acknowledge registration? Haven’t had anything.

I’ve had exactly the same, consultant says to stay off and Gp will sort it, GP says they haven’t had anything to do with it! Have registered but no email! GP said to call again if not received by the end of the week x

I does say we won’t get a text or email to confirm we’ve registered

I didn’t see that bit, thank you. I’m sure it will all fall into place soon. Good luck x

My GP told me on Friday that they were currently working through the list of patients in their practice to identify ones that need adding to the list.

X

Hello, I’ve just received a text from Gov confirming that I have self referred. It basically says they are checking this with the NHS and if I am correct I’ll be added to the list.

So hopefully anyone who has also self referred should also get the text. Taking a bit of time I imagine to go through all of this.

Best wishes to you all, I hope you are coping well with lockdown!

Lisa 🤍
