Hi everyone just to let you know that I had the news from the MDT meeting on Friday that the senior radiologist does not believe that the misting on the mesentery showing on the scan is cancerous and prob caused by scar tissue or imflamation re chemotherapy. They have also stated that I have had an excellent response to the carbo/caelyx and that the 3 lymph nodes have shrunk by over 50 percent and that I should look on all this news positively and to continue with the cycles left. I have to now move on from thus uncertainty and take the news as good. I've just come from hospital having another 2 units of blood today (one last month) as my hemoglobin dropped to 65 and platelets 38. They said they may have to delay my chemo on Wednesday for a week as it may take a week for the platelets to come back.up
I just want to say thank you to everyone last week when I was do anxious about my scan results but put my mind at ease that the chemo was doing its job re shrinkage of lymph nodes and advised me to stay positive. Huge thank you for all your supportive comments and being there for me during a very anxious week.xx

Hi Kath yes feeling much better and less anxious, thank you. Your previous comments with regard to the lymph nodes shrinking really helped me mentally. You always seem to know what to say to help.xx
Great news. So glad you have been responding so well to the carbo/caelyx it gives me lots of hope as I come up to my halfway mark. Hope the haemoglobin and platelets come back asap so you can restart your treatment. Sending positive thoughts your way. 🤗 Jackie x
That’s good news. When I was on carbo caelyx my tumor shrank 50% after three cycles then another 50% by the end. Then I went on Olaparib and it shrank to 2 mm after 10 weeks. So I hope your bloods recover soon and you can get back to it.
Thanks Delia so glad carbo/caelyx was successful for you. My oncologist said before I started treatment if I had a good response to chemo that I would be offered a parb (approved by NICE UK.) I'm non braca 1st occurrence platinum sensitive if good response. They are doing a test now on my original tumour to see if it had the brca mutation though re what parb to offer me. I will try it though heard a lot about dude affects etc. If it keeps the beast from returning then I am prepared to give it ago. Wishing you every success that your parb keeps working for you and that you remain NED. XX
