Anyone been here?

Dear All,

Last night I thought it was the end as i could hardly breathe and was in an incredible weak state. I am not eating very much as have no appetite and getting sick for eating certain things. Talked to my daughter-in-law in the middle of the night, she manages a care home and she thought it could be the Diazepam I am taking. Love too all you beautiful people. Anne XXX

Dear Anne

I haven’t been in your situation so far, but can only emphasise that you really deserve some outside help.

Do you have a Rapid Response phone-line at your hospital, for cancer patients? Ours is excellent & so caring!

It sounds as if you should also be urgently referred to a Palliative Care team too.

I’m sure there will be more helpful replies soon, but, in the meantime, virtual hugs and very best wishes from me - Joy x

Dear Anne

I'm sorry to hear you had such a difficult time last night. Please do contact your GP or your medical team for advice. If you are currently on treatment, please ring the chemo line for advice. I hope they are able to help alleviate your symptoms soon.

Best wishes

Anna

Hello Anne, that sounds a dreadful night. You certainly need your symptoms palliated in order that you can eat to keep your strength up. Do contact your team and your GP.

Hello Anne, how very scary for you, hope you are feeling better today. As everyone else has said do get some help from your team or helpline. Good Luck xx

Hi. I hope you are better today. If you still have trouble breathing maybe you should be tested for covid 19? Please let us know how you are doing!

I realize it was stupid to suggest testing for Coronavirus when you had been having shortness of breath before so I apologize and agree that palliative care or your oncologist is the best bet. Anyway I hope you feel better soon!

SOUND LIKE YOU SHOULD BE CONTACTING YOUR DOCTOR ASAP. IF THE BREATHING DOESN'T IMPROVE. HOPE YOU ARE FEELING BETTER TODAY.
