TESCO DELIVERY.........

Sorry nothing to do with OC but I was wondering if any of you have had a tesco delivery today, ( this week ) we booked one for 10 -11 today and no sign 4.5 hours later. The customer service number just gives you recordings - so not helpful. I looked on my account ( i have had a delivery from them for years) and worryingly it says my order has been delivered.

In my experience of delivery companies, if a website says a parcel has been delivered but it patently hasn’t, it means it’s been delivered to the wrong address. Worrying as delivery slots are very difficult to find. Hopefully Tesco can sort it for you when you finally get through.

I have an ocado delivery due tomorrow but the way everything is going it's not looking good, Tesco are not responding to emails at the moment as I emailed them the other day with a query and had an automated reply saying due to the high volume of messages at the moment we're not responding to emails for now, it might be worth calling them again.

It is so infuriating that their customer service number just gives you a useless recording then hangs up. Guess they are having problems but a text would have been welcome

Did it arrive? Nearest slot I could get is 6th April.

I can't get any slot. All unavailable.

I think I will have to go to one of these early morning slots the supermarkets are giving for older people, but that's not exactly self isolating is it?

I have to go to the hospital on Monday for bloods so will do the same whilst out, not part of my plan but we need to eat. Will wear masks and gloves and fingers crossed

Don't go to the older persons slot at Sainsbury's - they have foolishly decided that slot is reserved not just for older, vulnerable people, but also for heatlh workers. They may change it, because health workers are saying it puts the vulnerable more at risk... So far as I know, the other supermarkets aren't doing that...

Ok thanks for that.

Sainsbury have just announced that they are changing this and will now have separate slots for vulnerable and NHS.

No nothing - I have a delivery every week, when people started panic buying I booked a few weeks in advance, thought I was ahead of the game - not to be.

Hi - My Ocado delivery on Friday, not only turned up, but was early following a call from the driver to say he was nearby. It did have substitutions, but they were sensible ones. Hope you get yours ok.

I tried to book a delivery with Asda last Wednesday, as my husband had been tested for the virus, & was unable to get a slot until March 30 - a week tomorrow. My daughter tried to book a delivery later the same evening, & already all the slots were fully booked till April 3rd! Di

I appreciate that Supermarkets are struggling with supply and demand, but why accept orders and then just not deliver them. I have got the next 3 weeks booked but suspect they won't happen either. As a "prepaid delivery plan" customer, Tesco sent me a message to allow me to log on and book a priority slot for Easter Weekend! what a joke!!

I couldn’t get a slot for 3 weeks. I put a shout out on facebook for info yesterday and the response was amazing. The local Spar shops, which are tiny, are doing deliveries for the elderly and those in isolation plus several people volunteered to drop stuff off fir me on my doorstep.

That's brilliant - our local community are really working together and looking after anyone that can't get supplies, a a local pub/restaurant that had to close decided to do a take away service for today Full roast dinner with all the trimmings and gravy plus desert for £13 - needless to say that sold out in minutes! We have a wholesale bakery that is now selling to the public and a grocer will deliver fruit and veg and eggs. so don't think we will starve.

My husband has been using our small local shops instead of the supermarkets. A bit more expensive but they are doing a marvellous job. The shelves are stocked and customers are buying sensibly. No complaints about limiting purchases. Still the assistants would have to be very sharp to spot the idiots that are buying as much as they can then going back several hours later to buy more.

We bought bread eggs and milk from our local store no problem. We are going to support them as much as possible, but I can't buy meat there, so we are unfortunately going to have to do a supermarket shop tomorrow.......dreading it.
