Hi ladies just an update on my hospice visits , I have found my visits very helpful and therapeutic, the crafts and treatments you can have are so relaxing. Also advice about benefits and blue badge entitlement. The doctor spoke to my own GP to change my pain relief medication, they are very knowledgable and helpful. It’s also helpful to chat with the other visitors, we have a delicious 3 course lunch with wine if you can have some, endless tea coffee and biscuits or cold drinks are provided by the volunteer staff, who are all so lovely 😊.

Hi Maggie

During bouts of chemo (for 2no recurrences) I attended our local hospice on a Friday and met with other patients of a similar age (not necessarily with the same cancer) and found it to be a very calming and relaxing environment. Like you I partook of a delicious lunch, endless tea/coffee and biscuits, crafts and alternative treatments, in my case I loved Reiki. Whilst I no longer need to attend the hospice as I am in remission I do still see staff occasionally (we use the same hairdresser lol) and its always lovely to have a catch up. They have my full support and I try to donate etc when I can. An amazing place with amazing staff. I'm glad you are finding your visits helpful. Kathy xx

I stopped posting when I went on Hospice but I shouldn't have. I am also enjoying being on Hospice. No more doctors visits blood draws, scans and chemotherapy. Had the best December this year. Was not sick from sitting in offices with sick people. I feel the best I've felt in 4 years. Everyone should do their fighting but I'm finding out there is peace and happiness off treatment for me . Still living life!🦋Nice post thank you. I'm on in home Hospice services.

This is my experience too. I love the Art Therapy Group. Hospices are for living well in a sensitive, protective environment. Invaluable. 💐😘
