High bilirubin

Morning lovely ladies

I was on the Octova trial for all of 2 weeks, then it was halted due to high bilirubin levels - nothing to do with the trial drugs just too many liver mets obstructing my bile ducts

I've now been in hospital for about a month - had a stent which cleared the right side and an external drain in one of the ducts on the left which had brought the bilirubin down to 170 but still a long way from the 35 it needs to be to restart the trial drugs ( or chemo for that matter)

Anyone else been in a similar position and what did they treat you with?

My oncs seem to be solely concentrating on the bilirubin levels and, in my opinion, should be treating the underlying cause of the cancer

Thanks.., Pam x

I’m afraid I have no advice but wanted to say hi and I’m sorry you’re going through that. I would assume the doctors are doing what they need to but you can ask them about chemo.
