Has anyone here had problems contacting COC? About three weeks ago I contacted them by phone and they sent me an email with a list of what was needed to which I replied, but I have not had a reply despite more phone calls and emails. Is this normal? Anne

Contacting COC
Dear Anne,
I cannot imagine what could be wrong. I sent your plea in an email message to them. It certainly does not fill one with confidence.

Dear Laura,
You are lovely lady, hope to meet you one day. Agree about COC, but maybe a blip!
Anyway on the bright side my oncologist has written to Susana Banerjee and thinks I will hear from her in the near future - so hope to be on my way to London soon.
How has it gone with you this last week? If I remember rightly you are off this week.
A big hug my dear. Anne xxx
It’s been a breeze I am much stronger, still staying at home, but with renewed vigour!
Meanwhile, I have this for you:
From COC:
Good afternoon Laura
Thank you for forwarding a comment from you forum, that Anne had posted. We certainly, want to be ale to get back to patients as soon as we can. However, we are currently in a process of growth due to increased interest in our protocol and we would like to continue to provide our patients with a high standard of service. There is currently a waiting time of approximately 2 weeks before we are able to book appointments with new patients. Please continue to explore your current treatment options and do not stall any treatment that might be of immediate benefit. We look forward to addressing your concerns when able, please bear with us during this period of transition.
I do not have a surname for Anne on this message, please could you get her to contact us by return and I will be happy to assist her.
Kind regards,
Adrienne

I can't thank you enough Laura - Adrienne rang me this afternoon and as I hope to get an appointment with the Royal Marsden very soon, we have decided, as I come so far, to try and get an appointment on the same day or the day after - I much prefer to talk to them - face to face. I am so glad you are feeling so much better.
Take care - forever grateful. Anne XXX
I sent my stuff off to them last Friday - having spoken with them on the phone, I know they are very busy, much busier than they used to be - I was told the average wait time for an appointment was two weeks minimum AFTER they've assessed your paperwork. I'm not holding my breath...
I don't understand why they haven't got back to you though, not even to say you've got to wait longer or something - I left a phone message one day last week and they rang me back later that day.
Miriam
Thanks a lot Miriam - I sent them an email on Friday, if I don't get a reply today, I will call them again. All the very best. Anne xxx
