Good evening ladies and hope you are all having as good a weekend as possible.
I just wanted to tell you all that I am thrilled that my doctor daughter, Izzy has been given a place to run the London Marathon in aid of Ovacome in April this year and is training hard.
When we are all there cheering her on I will be thinking of all you lovely ladies on the forum who have made me feel less alone with your kindness, all of the Ovacome team who have helped and supported me, and and also the teal sisters who are no longer with us.
Love to everyone.
Sophia xx

Yes I finished Carbo Caelyx in September and have been on Olaparib for 2.5 months now and once the initial teething troubles were over I appear to be feeling pretty well and doing fine touch wood.
thought about it, but I don’t want to ask people on this site. I feel we are the ones she wants to help and you have all done that for me so much by sharing and supporting 😊 for the last three years. Happily she is doing pretty well on the fundraising already. Thanks for the kind thought though. I will post a photo on the day. Xx
That is lovely news. Before I was diagnosed my youngest son ran the London marathon for the charity that supports my eldest son.It was a lovely day and we were thrilled to stay in London over the weekend so we could be part of it.All the very best to your daughter xx
Thanks so much mrstadpole. Yes I can’t wait to be there cheering her on. That was lovely that your youngest soon supported your elder son’s charity. I’m glad you all had a lovely day. Xx
What a super Daughter to do this. She'll be dedicating sooo much of her time, training for the Marathon. It's really appreciated. If she changes her mind about us all sponsoring her, do let us know how to do it. After all, this is the Ovacome group - the Charity for whom she'll be running.
Yes I think she is, especially as she has to get her training in at the end of her working day in the dark at this time of year. Mind you she can be quite bossy! She is in charge of a cardio ward this weekend, quite scary for a junior doc.
Hi Sophie. What a lovely thing to do for Ovacome. It’s such a helpful organisation and this forum has brought comfort to me over the past few years. I do hope she doesn’t find the training too arduous after her busy working week. Please add my thanks to the long list when you next speak to her. Love Jo 🌺🌼🌹🌻🌸
