For those that know me, you’ll know that I’m always up for an adventure. Even after my DX in 2016 & 3 weeks after my second op in 6 weeks, I hot footed it to South Africa (I really believe my soul lives there!)
Anyway, having already been fortunate to have visited the White Continent once before, I have just returned from a second trip with my beloved, but this time venturing to The Falklands and South Georgia also.
I just wanted to share this pic of me and my special one, in penguin onesies, physically on the sea ice in Antarctica where our Nat Geo ship “parked” itself for half a day, less than a week ago! It makes me chuckle every time I see it and the more I travel, the luckier I feel. No matter what I’m doing or where I’m going (even if it’s just to the gym) I count my lucky stars for my current health. Long may it continue.
My twin sister is currently facing her own Gynae ‘challenges’, but we hope to find out more just before Xmas. I am keeping everything crossed she isn’t tarred with the same OC brush!
Anyway, I hope this makes even a few of you smile. Sending much love to you all. Jemima xx

Lovely to hear from you - your adventures make me smile, and your love of unique onesies makes me laugh out loud 🤣 Only you could find penguin onesies for Antarctica. Did you see the recent documentary about penguins? It was amazing!
I hope your sister is coping OK despite everything she must be going through at the moment.
Hi Vicki, we were actually away when that documentary was on...we were even lucky to see one juvenile emperor penguin!! And I won’t lie....I love a good onesie! Just one of many! ☺️
Thanks for your kind words re: my sister. I won’t lie...it’s a worry but I know not to get worked up unless you need to.
I hope life is being a bit kinder to you hun. Glad my post made you smile xx
Love it Jemima, your adventures are a true tonic for us, the latest one sounds great fun, keep having these fun times and sharing them with us. Just love the outfits they’re awesome. I hope your sister gets good news and that you are able to have worry free festivities. Let us know how she gets on, in the meantime stay well lovely ❤️Xx Jane
What a great photo, Jemima! You're living life to the full and I really admire you. What's your next adventure going to be?
I'm so sorry you have the worry with your sister. Let's hope things don't turn out to be what is feared.
I always wished I had a twin ( or a walking talking doll as big as me!!) so when I was eight I had the next best thing - twin brothers. I absolutely adored them and they say I was their second Mum. Is your twin identical?
Keeping my fingers crossed for your sister, love Solange 😊
Thank you re: my sister. I think I’m more worried than her but just trying to remain calm and practical in case it’s nothing sinister. And no, we are not identical ☺️ x
I remember the post from your first visit to the Antarctic last year and the video too. It looks fantastic. Hope your ship didn’t get a parking ticket!
Must be worrying thinking about your but hopefully her sister test result will be good.
Was just speaking to my husband and sons about planning an adventure (Scandanavia? Iceland? Paris?) and your photo makes me think possibly in a different direction but in any case, to PLAN something that will make us all smile as I see you two doing in this photo. Thank you so much for sharing!! oxoxox Judy
Exactly Judy...plan an adventure...no matter where or doing what...create some memories within your own parameters. Iceland is also on my list and I hope to visit in 2020 as part of a n Arctic adventure in the making 😏 💋
Brilliant to hear, & the photo and experience looks & sounds great! I went to India last year, after thinking I'd escaped lightly after a hysterectomy to rid me of GCT cancer, (rare form of OC) only to find it had recurred on my return. Insurance since has been an issue on the run up to radical surgery this July followed by chemo, which I'm just coming to the end of. Who did you get your insurance with? I really hope yo go to Udaipur next year, as well as the US!
I am insured through Aviva but my OC isn’t covered. I’m sorry you reoccurred. Maybe you can plan a gentle adventure to mark the end of your treatment? Praying it’s all gone well for you xx
Wow Jemima this is incredible! Certainly made me smile! Thank you for sharing it seems you have a brave spirit. I lived in SA for 10 years and also think it touches your soul as it is such a powerful and amazing country and people.
Well keep posting and fingers crossed your sister avoids this awful disease.. 🙏💕
Thanks...where in SA were you? I think it’s just in my blood. Some places creep in like that. Back there shortly actually. Thanks for your kind words x
I love to hear of your latest adventures. Your stories cheer me up 😊. I just want to wish your sister all the best for a good result. Keep those travel stories going.
