Well I hope you all managed some downtime/fun time/family time/friend time/you time this weekend? Wasn't the weather fantastic!?
We had extra special celebrations as my hubby's beautiful daughter got married on Saturday. What a fab day of celebrations, love, family & friends. It made me even more grateful for life.
After the wedding it was a 2-day fun filled w/e with friends enjoying good food, drink & company (& perhaps recovering from the wedding!!) I had so many people come up to me to comment on how well I looked post-op, which was lovely (esp as I'd not seen some folk since before all this began!) I perhaps overdid it in the evening but j must say, my Bridget Jones inspired pants helped enormously! π
Anyway...I was thinking of you ladies lots this w/e & hope you all had a wonderful few days whatever you got up to? π

Congratulations on your family nuptials and on looking great!
Sounds like you all had a super time and what a lovely weekend to choose.
My husband and I treated ourselves to a couple of nights in a wonderful spa hotel in Shropshire. Well I think it is wonderful my husband is not quite sure it is "his thing" . Heading home later today feeling rejuvenated and batteries recharged.
Oh I love a good wedding! So glad you had a great time and it all went well.
I've had an awesome weekend at Carfest South with my husband and kids. We saw and did so much, plus my kids got into the spirit and asked to see the live music. They couldn't quite get their head around the fact that bands we listen to on the radio or TV were actually there 'in real life' and they were totally star struck to see Mister Maker (from CBBC!). Best of all, when we were leaving after the fireworks on Sunday, my eldest daughter (7) said her favourite part was 'hanging out as a family all weekend.' <Sob> π
You look lovely Jemima,it's always nice to overdue things (occasionally)! And lovely to hear all the ladies news,I had a quiet weekend in the sun,but it was welcome after my hectic summer, just getting a bit of respite, before the next surge! Lol
Sounds like you had a really fabulous weekend - and what a lovely photo. Hubby and I spent a few hours yesterday on the moors for an impromptu picnic in the lovely sunshine. Would have liked a nice walk, but the knees aren't up to that at the moment, so had to settle for chilling with a good book. Hope everyone else managed some down time from whatever is happening on "other fronts". Xx
What a lovely picture Jemima, you both look very glam. You can't beat a wedding, we went to my nieces a few weeks ago and had a wonderful time. We also had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend. We (hubby and two sons aged 17 and 13) went to my sisters and brother in laws who live in a beautiful village just outside Lancaster. My nephew, niece and her boyfriend were also there and we spent Saturday afternoon walking along Morecambe front in the sun. There was also a bit of a festival going on and I managed to embarrass the kids by having a bit of a boogie as I can never resist when I hear music. Sunday we took a picnic and spent all day walking in the Lake District. I climbed over stiles, clambered over rocks and crawled through tunnels and caves and we had a wonderful time. THen when we got home we went to the local Pub as they had a Motown evening as we love Motown music. It was a wonderful weekend and now Im awaiting a phone call from my CNS Nurse to see what they plan to do about this pesky nodule that has shown up on my recent scan and surprisingly I'm feeling pretty relaxed about it all as I've now got my positive head back on again after such a lovely weekend, love Kerry xx
Good luck with this pesky nodule π‘ Hope your CNS has put your mind at ease. It's amazing how better it is to cope when your batteries (both physical & mental) have been recharged! Xx
Doesn't family time take on a whole new meaning when you get a diagnosis like we have! I find that even the smallest get together planned or unplanned is far more significant and joyful than it ever was before! One of the more welcome side effects of OC maybe!!!!ππππ
I'm with you on the family get togethers. Yesterday I spent all morning with my best friend & her partner down at a hospice where her beautiful sister (35) is currently losing her battle to brain cancer π It was very humbling & brought back everything from when I lost my Mummy in 2013.
The rest of the day was spent together as friends having quality, supportive time together. I feel lucky...lucky to be 'well' & lucky to have amazing family & friends in my life.
No one would guess you have just had an op ... You look amazing ... so glad you had a great weekend you deserve it... Enjoy your hols on Thursday ... Looking toward to some great pics ππ
I worked Saturday but in the evening we decided to play cocktail making which meant Sunday was a no go area. So my diet went out the window but we had a great time.
Thanks hunny...ooh, cocktail making!! Liking your style! Oh god I know what you mean by diet...my appetite (for food & gin) has clearly come bouncing back with vigour since the last op...my scales proved it this morning π‘
Oh well...it was a bank holiday w/e after all π Xx
A lovely photo, and the new hairstyle looks great! Sounds a wonderful way to spend the bank holiday, a wedding and good food and drink!
More mundane for me. Lots of work in allotment and checking on my new bees. (Hadn't realised I'd find it so hard lifting the frames with my chemo problem fingers.) But, they're still alive.....and I spend too much time watching them coming and going. But we did have some vino. I love vino but really didn't like it while undergoing the chemo. Didn't taste nice, but then, nor did chocolate can you believe. Things improving all the time. Cheers! (Debs told me how to put icons on a Macbook, but I've forgotten.) Just imagine glasses clinking...
Ooh you keep bees! How wonderful! We have a bee keeper in the village & im just a little bit obsessed with his honey (no pun intended! I'm a married woman π)
Glad it was a good, productive weekend for you xx
A lovely photo of you both, you look fab and so pleased you've had a great weekend, good times!!
I've been spending lots of time with my hubby and son, going for walks and going out for meals, enjoying the gorgeous weather. Did gardening today and ache a bit tonight but I've had a lovely weekend,
Sounds like the perfect BH w/e...I can sympathise with the 'aches & pains' but that would be more to do with totally owning the dance floor for most of the wedding evening!! πππ xx
