Aargh, can't be read without subscription. Does anyone have a subscription and could copy/paste (or is that illegal?)

You don’t actually need to “subscribe”, just register for three free articles a week. Of course you do get some emails since you need to provide that.

Ask around & someone will have hardcopy of mag.

Basically, the way forward is to train our own T-cells to kill the cancer. Recent trials are proving successful in hopeless cases

Thanks Sherry. It's what my oncologist believes too. Let's hope.

That's what I'm hoping for. Stay alive long enough to see it phased out completely in favour of immunotherapy. Chemotherapy is barbaric and will be looked at the future as the equivalent of leeches and blood-letting in the middle ages.

I do agree , I think that every time I go into the chemo department at Christie’s, barbaric is the world I used .

I couldn't agree more - its like when amputations were performed, they'd stick a hot iron on the end to seal it to stop the bleeding - while you were conscious. Chemo will be looked back at in the future with horror, when there are new, kinder treatments that work with the body and not against it...
