I think your scan in December will make you feel re assured and you are being monitored regularly. I am 4 years NED in March and I can honestly say I was fearful for at least 2 of those years and approaching my checks I am difficult to live with😳
It is something you learn to live with, otherwise, what is the point? You can’t spend your life worrying about what may not happen, otherwise you will spoil your life, embrace the good times and keep yourself busy.
I am 62, so, near your age and am very involved with caring for grandkids and family in general.
If you find you are getting depressed or worrying constantly, see if they offer councelling in your hospital, I did this and it helped soooooo much.
Apparently, we suffer from post traumatic stress after this kind of diagnosis. I was given ways of coping and attitudes to adopt, particularly on dealing with not so well meaning people, which I had the misfortune to come in contact with😬
I note you said your gynaecologist/radiologist has already stated they think it might be a post -op haematoma. Who actually gave you the CT results? Ring, or see that person and say you're worried about the exact description, what actually does that mean? They are the radiologist's words. Perhaps if they were concerned, the gynaecologist would have ordered a CA125 blood test, but that reading does not definitely mean anything in itself. Scar tissue will still be healing I imagine, since August. There's no harm in speaking to a cancer charity about how you feel about everything, but they may not be able to tell you exactly what that term means. All the best
