Hi All,
I will be having both ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed on Nov 16th.
The CT with contrast scan has described my cyst as a 4.5cm x 3.8cm x 3.6 cm complex, septated, cystic adnexal lesion. My last CA-125 test at start of July was 68. I have had a history of elevated CA-125 since sep 2016 but gynae blamed the endometriosis for this. I had a 2.7cm clear cyst with a single septation sep 2017 but it had collapsed 6 weeks later. The recent CT report also said that I have subsegmental bibasilar atelectasis noted, which means partially collapsed lungs. The oncologist gynae didn’t mention this so maybe it’s not a worry! He won’t know until he removes the ovaries and tubes if it’s ovarian cancer or not. No free fluid collections noted and everything else was unremarkable according to CT size criteria. I am 46 and premenopausal. I am feeling fearful regarding the surgery and results! Will they have a good idea when they see the lesion or will I have to wait for the pathology report? Sorry about the long post!
