Student project - your help needed

Hello All

Ovacome has been put in contact with Honor, who is a final year design student at Loughborough University studying Product Design and Technology BSc.

Honor has a major project to undertake and has decided to look at how she can design a product to help women with ovarian cancer manage their care during treatments and recovery.

At the moment the project is in the early stages and Honor needs to talk to women with ovarian cancer to understand the sort of products which would be helpful. She would then work on designing a product that could make a difference to those experiencing ovarian cancer.

The project will be completed in eight months and Honor's final product will be displayed at a four-day Degree Show at Loughborough Design School. If successfully selected, she could potentially show the work at the New Designers Exhibition in London as well. Honor wants to use these opportunities to help contribute towards raising awareness about ovarian cancer.

Thanks for posting this Anna. Honor is a good friend of my daughters and was a great support to her when I was diagnosed. She is a lovely girl and very talented so I know something great will come out of her work.

I’m so pleased that by sharing my story with her it has led to her making Ovarian cancer patients the focus of her final years work at Loughborough.
