The Eve Appeal Research Project

I recently took part in a telephone research project commissioned by The Eve Appeal. They have now developed an online survey and I received the following email this morning asking if I would share with anyone with ovarian cancer. I immediately thought of this forum so I'm sharing their request for women to answer some questions that might improve the support we receive in future. Here's their email and the link to the online questionnaire.

"As some of you may know, The Eve Appeal is conducting research into the best ways of providing information to women with gynaecological cancer, as well as their friends and families. This research is being undertaken with Ellen and Ella from The Ladder Consultancy.

On the back of recent focus groups and telephone interviews with women with cancer and their friends and families, we have developed a short online survey. We would very much appreciate it if you could spare 5-10 minutes to fill out this survey.

We would also be very grateful if you could forward this email on to any women you know who have/have had gynaecological cancer or friends and family of women who have/have had gynaecological cancer.

A link to the survey can be found at:

All responses are anonymous.

If you experience any difficulty with the survey or have any questions, please contact Ellen or Ella direct at ellen@ladderconsultancy.co.uk / sunyer.ella@gmail.com

Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.

With best wishes,

Athena Lamnisos

Hi Pam, I got chatting to the CEO of the Eve Appeal this morning via email. The Questionnaire has inspired a lot of thought. We have Ovacome's Nurse-led line and I looked up the other gynaecological cancers but only Jo's Trust have a Nurse-led line and it leaves women with vulval, vaginal and uterine cancers without the sort of support we have here unless they use the Macmillan line, or in Wales we have the Tenovus Help Line. I wonder though whether these generic lines could possibly provide the wealth of support that Ovacome do for us.

It was very thought-provoking. Hope you thought so too. xx Annie
