CA125 blood tests

Hi all just looking for any input really ...long story short having problems years with stomach periods had lap done last December took old endo away nothing much seen then.... back and forward with gyny for visits recent scan showed 6cm ovarian cyst which doc described as not a simple cyst used the words complex and multiculated cyst and sent me for ca125 bloods tests told me they'd ring with results...obviously I wanted to know how long do u think id be waiting if they were bad results cos I just have this feeling that if there ok they won't bother letting me know then

I think it is very unfair to wait for results. Ring up and ask, if they havnt got them ask when they will have. I have learnt that you have to fight your own corner. Push and pester waiting is agony.

Yes I know and it's my health I need to know about as I said my doctor is back in her clinic in the hospital tomorrow so hopefully I might get a call because they don't go back to my gp no more under a new data protection law. Thanks will update xx

When I had the ca125 blood test and it was raised my go had the result the next day and called me ,but all GPS ect may be different.

Thanks . I got them taking in my local hospital from my gyne doctor so they don't go back to my go anymore last time I rang up about different bloods I was told they don't send them back to docs because of data protection...weird I know. Going waiting till tomorrow because her clinic is on tomorrow in the hospital. Hopefully I'll get them then.

My GP came back to me the day after the blood was taken so I think no news is likely to be good news but best to chase for peace of mind. Good luck xx

It's only been 3 days since I had them if I don't include d weekend yes I thought that too the fact I haven't heard anything yet it must be all good. Thanks x

Thats my thinking no news good news but like you I'm going to ring and find out what's occurring
