My goodness Suzanne, that CA125 drop is astounding.... get yourself rehydrated for that Cisplatin in, its clearly working. Think about you so often love 💕, Marian xxxx
Hi Suzanne, so lovely to hear from you. I have been thinking of you , hoping that you are doing better. Great that your ca 125 has dropped so much.. eating and sleeping sounds good . You are an inspiration and a very brave lady . Sending love and gentle hugs
Hi Suzanne it’s so good to hear you’re doing much better now and fantastic that your ca125 has dropped so much in response to the chemo!
Keep eating and sleeping well and I’m sure you’ll feel even better after the blood transfusion. Keep your pecker up lovely lady you’re doing well and your positive attitude is inspirational 💖
Liz Xx
Great to hear you are doing well.........long may it continue. Lyn x
I think of you all the time, so it’s lovely to hear from you. Can’t believe your CA125 has dropped so much - that’s amazing! Are you still being treated at your original hospital, or did you move in the end?
Guess you’d better put that sheet over your head and practice the “Woooo woooo!” ghost noises...looks like you aren’t going anywhere!
My goodness Suzanne that's a huge drop in CA-125 you must be feeling so elated.
Keep up with the hydration, Cisplatin is a bit tough on the kidneys. Good luck with the transfusion, is it to help your haemoglobin or platelets? Good luck with it anyway and get some more the harsh stuff inside you.
Hi Suzanne, great news about the CA125 drop. I do hope you can get rehydrated and topped up with some new blood ready to complete the cisplatin. We’re all thinking of you - long may you continue your courageous journey.
Wonderful news Suzanne. I'm thrilled for you dropping your CA125 after those bast**ds told you what they did. Next time you see him/her give them a big fat raspberry. Keep up the good work my love xxxxxxxx
oh wow good drop in CA125! Cisplatin is the pits isnt it but sounds like its working! So pleased for you. Keep doing what yr doing, well drink a bit more too ttho im one to talk, always being told off for not drinking enough lol. Hope your ok. Kathy xx
Wow Suzanne, that’s great news re your CA125, what’s an amazing drop 😊. Keep going lovely we are all thinking of you and sending good vibes your way. Every little bit helps xxxx
hi Suzanne , so nice to hear from you. I keep thinking about you. So pleased that your treatment is working! Don't stop the fight! Keep going my lovely friend. Don't forget you are my role model.😊💕
I think that is a great result but do try and drink anything at all non alcoholic of course and stay hydrated. You will feel much better after the transfusion. Jelly and ice cream has fluid in it, ice pops, anything at all that you can think of, all the best
Hi Suzanne, Glad to hear from you and with some good news , great about the 125 like you I've been told no more opinions but I have a second opinion next week so will see.
Take care and hope you get good results from the Cisplatin ..love Lorraine xx
That’s great you’re getting a second opinion. Someone will help you. I was told I was going to starve to death but I became able to eat. Never give up. I’m thinking of you. Let us know how you get on. Sending you loads of love xxxx
See no 🔮 there’s plenty of time ahead for you yet. It’s a year since I finished chemo and look at the doom and gloom back then! I wrote a post based on their bad news and although I’m not exactly first choice for Top Sante magazine I am still limping along.
Your CA level is much better that must help. I’m having mine tested today. I do hate those numbers.
Good luck with blood transfusion and chemo. Am always thinking about how you are so really pleased to see update
Susanne i understand the good news after the worst. I was sent away in February with a CA of 1400 and told there was nothing more they could do. I was so poorly with ascites but they offered no treatment or solution. I found another hospital. I was in for 4 weeks. I started gem and cisplatin. The next six months were hard. Another stay in hospital along the way with a severely infected drain but.....ive just finished my treatment. My CA is 60 and i find out Thursday if i can start a PARP inhibitor. I tell you all if this because things can turn around. Its a hard slog but you can do it Suzanne xx
Gleedy, that’s such good news. Your tenacity paid off. The Gem / Cis has brought your CA-125 right down. Good luck about the parp inhibitor on Thursday.
That’s fab news, Gleedy! I was wondering how you were doing. With a drop like that, a PARP has to be worth a punt, doesn’t it?! Although I’m on weekly taxol now, I’ve been told that I can have a platinum therapy next with a view to a PARP if I have a good response.
Its good when there are still options. I hope all goes well. Im hoping in my 6 week gap of no treatment nothing has changed so i can have the PARP medication. Been a worrying 6 weeks xx
Delighted to hear your good news, Suzanne, so pleased for you. Perhaps we should start thinking lovely cisplatin not horrid cisplatin though that might be pushing it just a little😁 sending love and 🌺🌼🌸🌻🌹 Jo
Wow! That CA125 drop is brilliant, and like what the others have said, I think about you a lot and it’s great to hear from you and that, besides the dehydration, you’re doing so much better, I was really concerned about you a while back but I’m so pleased you’re now able to eat and sleep and are building up your strength. The transfusion will make you feel stronger and the fluids will really perk you up in readiness for the awful, but necessary, Cisplatin. Keep doing what you’re doing lovely somethings working, hugs and love ❤️Xx Jane
Cisplatin is hard on the kidneys , so drinking is an imperative . Buy it's tried and tested and usually does the job ! I have had it twice , exhausted me , but kept me going ! Keep up the good work .
I look for your posts Suzanne and was so happy to read this one. No one is a number and your treatment— horrible and all- is working. I’m so pleased you’re eating. Do you feel your strength returning and can you focus on eating all things to help it continue?
I am not a drinker/ hydrater. Don’t know why but sipping water never cut it for me. But as we OC ladies know, liquids are essential. So if it helps, I get a juice I like (vitamin water which has tons of good vitamins in it) about 2 fingers worth in a cup of water and I stand at the sink and drink it at once. Later, I make a giant cup of tea (I’m believing papaya leaf tea will help my platelets which are going down on the PARP) and then go to bed with a tall glass of waster to take pills. Maybe drinking at once instead of sipping is what you might try to focus on for hydrating.
I’m so hopeful this gets you back to functioning normally so you can complete the treatments.
Hope Antony is being attentive and you have what you need as you recover.
That is great news Suzanne try and drink anything that will help to hydrate you so you can have your next treatment hope the CA 125 continues to fall for you xxx Clare
Suzanne...it's wonderful to hear good news from you! You're fighting it like a pro and getting some good results. So happy to read this and glad you sound upbeat again. Thank God the Cisplatin is doing its job. Go girl go! Xxx
Great that you have had some good news regarding your CA125 falling, it must have been welcome news after what the doctors told you. Hope that the fluids have helped with the hydration and you can start back on your treatment soon. Take care, with very best wishes Jo xxx
Suzanne- so glad your CA125 is plummeting!!! Well done. So hard to keep the head where it should be when the body feels so crappy. Try lemon in your water. It may help you drink more. Keep up the fight!
Only just logged on after seven weeks in hospital and so delighted to hear your news . Fantastic ! Keep up the fluids . I found hot stock really good ( Marigold ) .... Everything crossed X
amazing ! your in a good place , worth all the crap.Well done keep it going girl, would you say its a cisplatin is one off the hard ones? even so good outcome jools xxx
