Taxol rash

Hi everyone im back again for advice.. had my 3rd infusion of taxol last week and now got a rash on my back and thigh.. very red and has a burning sensation.. very uncomfortable.. any suggestions on what to use.. thank you ladies xxx sending big hugs xxx

Hi Tracey You should mention this to your CNS ASAP, could be an allergic reaction. Worth a call. xx Kathy xx

Definitely call your CNS. I sometimes had a tiny rash on my hands but no burning or other irritation.

Hi Tracey. Would also think it's worth raising attention to.

I didn't experience back/thigh issues but Taxol caused a skin problem on my head (angry red pustules, very itchy). Tried several ointments but in the end, only a Taxol dosage reduction (down to 80 %) got rid of it. All the best. Maus

Hi ladies ended up going to a and e lastnite.. temp was a little high but bloods came bk all good but i felt crap all day they gave me sum fluids and antibotics.. but could'nt explain rash its just so sore.. got oncologist tomoz so they didnt want to give me any steriods as doc said after avin treatment last wed be to much..and to see what oncologist says tomoz.. all these pleasures we have to endure.. have a lovely day ladies xxx

I have a rash appear on my arm after my 3rd infusion of chemo, it is red and itchy and my friend says it looks like shingles, felt absolutely awful for last 2 days but am slowly feeling better and the rash has calmed down. Maybe worth investigating if your rash could be shingles. Lyn x
