Weekly taxol

Hi ladies hope your all doing ok... im on weekly taxol.. just had my 3rd cycle not bein to bad bit constipation then bit dodgy belly.. how long before you ladies lost your hair at what cycle.. when in 2015 i was on monthly so it more/less end of 1/BEGIN 2nd cycle... thanx for advice sending big hugs to true warriors xxx

I am on weekly taxol had 4 infusions up to now. Still okay with hair as using cold cap. (Fingers crossed). How many infusions have you had? When you say cycles do you mean over 3 months xx

Ive had 3 infusions up to yet.. got to do 6 then will do my ca25 level as it went up to 3800 as was on a immunotherapy clinical trial... and in end increased my ca125 levels do didnt work for me ...not using cold cap .. hope ur doing ok with taxol.. is it working for you.. ive bein avin different chemo's since 2015 and now back to taxol which i had first time round but had it monthly back then.. it worked then gave me 8mths of no treatment... then i was bk on chemo train and av being ever since... so ive got every crossed for this one again.. thanx for replying xx

just has the first infusion of cycle 2 and mine is coming out. Started week or so ago.

Hello,

I was on weekly Taxol from July 2017 to February 2018 and managed to keep my hair throughout by using the cold cap. Would definitely recommend if it’s available to you. Very best of luck with the treatment.

Morning, I had 18 weekly Taxol and my hair thinned quite a lot so had it cut really short. The dreaded fatigue kicked in big style around cycle 15. But managed to be chemo free for two years after that. Really hope you do well with the treatment.

I’ve just finished six cycles of Carbo/Caelyx with significant improvement, so now trying Niraparib. Fingers crossed 🤞 that works.

Hi - just had my 10th infusion ( Carbo Caylex didn’t work for me so trying Taxol again..) Wish if asked for cold cap but hey a few months of baldness it will be. I’ve had a lot of hair coming out over the last 6 or 7 treatments so it does definitely come out. I had quite thick hair so maybe that’s why it’s taking a while?...Good luck to you so hope it works x

Mine thinned but didn't all come out, even though I didn't use the cold cap. Can't remember when it started thinning, it happened so gradually.

Hiya, mine came out virtually overnight after my 3rd weekly session. Cold cap wasn't an option for me. Good luck with the weekly treatment, I've just had my 11th xx

Hi due my 13th taxol on Monday but have used the cold cap so my hair is still ok x Starting to get a bit of fatigue now but have found this regime very tolerable and it has smashed my Ca125 down to 20 after week 9 . I am on it as part of the CEBOC trial but even before they added the cediranib the taxol has worked amazingly well on my Ca125 levels x

Didn't spot your post until now. I started to lose a fair amount by no. 3 (end of first cycle) then a great deal after no. 4 (beginning of second cycle). It's five months since I finished and my hair is only just about half-an-inch long. Same thing happened with first line, quick to lose it and long time to regain it.

Good luck with your wig, I think they look amazingly natural these days and there's always scarves and hats if things get too hot or itchy.
