PARP Inhibitor and Chemo together?

Hi, everyone.

I know the Olaparib is supposed to be taken alone as treatment.

But would it work or work better with the Chemo altogether at the same time?

Is there any trial focusing on it?

And also my mom has her fluid drained today. Her doctor suggested that for the next time, to inject small portion of cisplatin into her abdomen twice a week as a way to control her fluid, and also keep on taking Olaparib every day.

Does any of this make sense at all??

Hi. There is a facebook site I go on and this has been mentioned on there. I am on an Olaparib only trial . Might be worth looking up Parp Inhibitors on FB and post your question there? I seem to recall someone saying there is a trial of Olaparib/Chemo. oBest Wishes xx Kathy xx

I seem to remember a trial in which they put Avastin into the abdomen and it controlled ascites...any one else read about this? xx
