I’m a little bit terrified right now as today I get my results x
I’m 45 years old and had a laporoscopy in March to remove an ovarian cyst and after biopsies I was told on April 17th that I have clear cell carcinoma of the ovary.
They said after a CT scan that they think it’s stage 1 possibly stage 2 if it had gone into peritoneum wall which the CT scan didn’t clarify.
I had a radical hysterectomy on May 11th and I get the results from that op today.
I’m trying to stay as positive as possible for my family but in reality I’m worried sick.
I’m expecting the worst but hoping for the best x any prayers or positive thoughts would be welcomed xxx
Hope everyone is doing ok and having as good a day as possible - it’s so nice to be able to post here and know you will all understand x

Keeping everything crossed for you Jojo225! Waiting for results is always the worse!
Are you under a gynae oncologist? You really need to be x
Whatever the outcome you will have the answers and a plan for going forward today and that generally makes you feel more in control than waiting for answers does x
Let us know how you get on and this is a great forum for support and advise
Yes I’m under a really good gynae oncologist in the Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
You’re right - at least the waiting and worrying will be over and I’ll know what to expect next x I will post back later with the outcome x thank you x
Best of luck jojo! Horrible waiting for the appointment but good to know what you have! I was stage 1c2 clear cell before my op, upstaged to 1c3 (cancerous cells found in washing from op but otherwise all in one ovary). The CT scans are often misleading (mine looked like stage 3), so it’s really good that the pathology will give you a more accurate picture of how/if it has spread.
Wishing you the very best for your results today and fingers crossed for good news for you xxxx
Our stories are very similar as I’m also under LWH having been diagnosed with Clear Cell stage 3b at the end of February. It was a complete shock as I was feeling so healthy. And I too am going to LWH for mid chemo scan results today! Although my op was a success and chemo has been kind to me I do feel anxious today which I know is normal. I hope all goes well for you today and maybe we can meet one day in the future up if you’re in Liverpool?
