Not sure what’s going on

I’ve been having low back pain , with bloated full feeling, nausea, bleeding pv which has settled , frequency to urinate , constipation, not much appetite, ca125 was ok - any other ideas , could it be OC even though ca125 was ok , thanks Catherine

Not sure what's going on either, but you certainly have the symptoms.

As you have had your CA-125 test, someone must have suspected something. As you know, this cancer marker does not work for everyone and sometimes the smallest changes can mean a lot. What was yours?

If you are bloated, did anyone ultrasound you? Doctors can use this to tell if you have fluid called advises filling your abdomen and chest. Then they can take a sample of the fluid.

You need to talk to your doctor and you may need to get a CT scan, but first things first. If you are really bloated, find out the cause and be brace and insistent. Don't give up.

Hi the ca125 was 9 , I’ve had a trans vaginal ultrasound which showed a cyst in the ovary containing 20 mls fluid compared to the other one which contained 6 mls , I think I need to have a ct scan , managing to eat little - no real appetite, have been told to come of pill fir 3months too

Well you are not waiting 3 months.

I hate to be so negative, but loss of appetite is also a symptom.

Is the bloating making you feel full?

Did they think the cyst is harmless and will go away if you stop the pill?

I think that you need a more thorough look at your swollen abdomen and not just your ovaries.

If it is OC, it could have left small cysts in situ, while seeding lesions over your abdominal wall.

It just needs to be checked out.

I was ignorant if all of this before being diagnosed,

Now I find that because I have European Jewish ancestry, I am more likely to get OC as well breast cancer because of a gene mutation called BRCA1&2.

I have not been tested yet, but my sister with breast cancer has and she is positive for the mutation, so that is something else to figure in.

Hi I’m not going to wait 3 months - going to give it couple of weeks, I feel full and no appetite before I eat , when I do abdomen Is fuller , he thinks the cyst is a follicular cyst but I feel different, my abdomen is swollen I can see it , I don’t know if the cyst is ok left there , I’m bit concerned as know something isn’t right plus 2 years ago I had a mole that was pre cancerous , and had to have it re excised around the margins

I agree with everyone I had same symptoms but my ca125 was 900. I would go to hospital say u cannot eat and get a scan ASAP.

Ask for a second opinion, the CA125 isn’t necessarily a good marker for all ovarian cancers, I had stage 1 clear cell and the markers for this type can be really relatively low. I too had a pelvic bleed (I was post menopausal so knew something was wrong) it only lasted a day but I still went to see my GP and he set the ball in motion quickly so my OC was caught early. All your symptoms are being caused by something and you need to know what the cause is if only for your own peace of mind. I truly hope it isn’t anything sinister but push for some further tests, hindsight is a wonderful thing but foresight is much better. Take care love and let us know how you get on ❤️Xx Jane

Thank you , I will - something isn’t right, have felt different fir few weeks now - plus have the cyst in the ovary and the 2 cysts in the kidneys - increasingly more tired last few days which is unusual too , will definitely seek another opinion

As one who was told by one doctor that all my symptoms were from constipation, allergies and sucking in air when I ate cough drops, definitely get another opinion. Three weeks later, I went in to my own GP, (he had been out of town and was booked up) , had a CT scan, and discovered a 20 lb. Ovarian tumor plus a pulmonary embolism! Don't wait. Get to a specialist. Keep pushing for testing and get answers.
