Ca125 back up to 900, Tamaxofen stopped not working. Not sure what's going to happen next. Another scan booked see how the brute is growing then see what oncologist says. Platinum resistant so got to find another chemo that dosnt effect my heart. I did ask about clinical trials she is seeing what's available if they let me. Feel as if options running out.. Feel numb but trying to be positive. Anyone been in my situation and are still doing ok?

Hi Sue Sorry to hear your ca125 is up again ( note to self: stop bleating when yours is well under 30)

Have a look on cancer research UK for clinical trials covered OC … I could be wrong but I thought the cancer vaccine trial was being offered for late stage oc. Also have a chat with Ovacome…they know about stuff in the pipeline and can help you find out what the options are. Sending hugs but wish there was a magic wand that could be sent to all of us xx

Hi, I know exactly how you feel! Its so scary when you think options are running out and having other health issues to contend with! It looks like you had taxol first time even with heart failure, have they said no to it again because it was too hard on your heart? as that is not a platinum based chemo I have seen a lot of ladies on here do very well just on that? My Mum also has heart condition and they are being very difficult with what they dare do! Wont even offer surgery because of it, so we are going for a second opinion, perhaps you could try that? Try to stay positive ( easier said than done!) xx

I was told I couldn't have surgery but after some chemo and a chat to my cardiologist they went ahead with it so dont give up . They may do Taxol again depends as I get neuropathy in my feet and fingers . Thankyou for your understanding x

Hi Sueithy. You are not alone. My tumormarker is 488 and I am allergic on Taxol. Six month after the last chemo carboplatin/ gemcitabine and under avastin it is looking like there is progress. However I am in "Wait and Watch" situation, having no symptoms and therefore carry on to live my life as good as possible. I think thats the only thing we can do for the moment...( and of course collecting information) and hoping there will always be a way to cope. Cheers, greetings from Germany
